Hopes, Dreams, and Horses

a therapeutic center for humans & horses

About The Charity

Hopes, Dreams and Horses (HDH) was founded as a 501(c)3 in 1998 when Executive Director Sue Copeland experienced the healing power of equine therapy firsthand. They also are a horse rescue facility. Over the years they have rehabilitated over 50 neglected and abused horses, as well as horses in need of severe medical treatments. Once the horses are healed, they are found loving homes or have joined their team of therapy horses.

In 2004, the Equine Assisted Psychotherapy program began and grew to serve over a thousand clients a year. They seek to be at the forefront of healing for both horses and humans alike. Hopes, Dreams, and Horses (HDH) serves children and adults who require physical, mental, or emotional healing, including but not limited to:

· Individuals with special needs
· At-risk youth
· Senior citizens
· Veterans
· Individuals with socialization and communication needs
· Substance Abuse Treatment Centers
